SMV takes part in the NAi/AA Visiting School in Brazil

July 28th: São Paulo (Brazil)

The NAi is organising workshop sessions and a debate in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The program starts with an 8 day Visiting School organised by the AA School London and the Brazilian office SUBdV. It is followed by a short workshop about Unsolicited Architecture in Rio de Janeiro, organised by Studio X (Columbia University) together with the NAi, in which Brazilian and Dutch architects team up to tackle local problems in the different neighbourhoods of Rio. The results have been printed in the natiol newspaper O Globo.

On behalf of Studio Marco Vermeulen, Tim Aarsen will give an inspiring talk about the projects Watercity and Water squares during the Floodings workshop in São Paulo. He will also tutor a group of students who will work on a case study along the Tieté river.
