The Province of Noord-Brabant and Grontmij have selected SMV to make an urban design for Logistics Park Moerdijk (LPM). The LPM site covers approx. 190 hectares and the goal is to make it the most sustainable business park in the Netherlands. Closing the cycles on water and energy play a major role in the design. The excess heat of the nearby harbour of Moerdijk will be used to heat the logistic halls. Besides this SMV strives to use the available space innovatively and prefers to stack multiple functions. Another important theme is the transition between the open landscape and the built environment.
