&sourceIn the buffer zone between the sugar factory and the village of Stampersgat, SMV is designing a miniature landscape park. The earthworks are constructed with beetsoil, a waste product of the sugar factory, and are used as sound barrier as well as a visual barrier. The park will also serve as a connecting element between the village and existing pedestrian routes along the Mark-Vlietcanal.
In collaboration with the Samenstichting Stampersgat SMV is developing alternatives which comply with the wishes of the villagers as well as the demands of the Sugar Union and the Water Authority.
The goal is to come to an exiting playful land art piece, in which vistas, improvement of the biodiversity and the multi functional use of the park are the key ingredients.
