Last Saturday the first water square opened in Rotterdam. The Bellamyplein West now provides a contribution to the hydrology of the city. On the square rainwater is stored temporarily and then dosed discharged into the ground.

The residents were involved in the development of the square, whose design is based on a concept by Florian Boer and Marco Vermeulen.
