During the workshop Energy, Space and Regions, organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, the Dutch Smart Thermal Grid is presented. The workshop focused on the relationship between regional and national scale in which the energy transition takes place. The Dutch Smart Thermal Grid outlines a vision of an open network where various parties can offer geothermal, waste heat and solar heat. The model of the Dutch Smart Thermal Grid can be visited at the IABR (International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, the Next Economy) until July 10, 2016.
