New markets for Parkstad

According to the structural -Op hete kolen- continues the development of Parkstad Limburg behind that of its surroundings. In Maastricht there has a strong international profile, Aachen is running up as 'Kompetenzraum für Hochtechnologie' and in Genk is the logistics industry and develop strong. The former Eastern Mining Area still struggling with a pressing social issues and a relatively high unemployment, low income and regional exodus of young people. Its own strength is not fully exploited.

In an initial analysis of the unique characteristics of Parkstad Limbrug we studied and named new markets that would have been able and willing to invest. The goal is to exploited the unique qualities of Parkstad. The intention is to approach interested parties with this analysis.
